MANAGEMENT & TEAM

Haley Basurto

Director of Nursing

Haley Basurto is the Director of Nursing for The Legacy Rehab & Care Center.  Haley has always wanted to be in healthcare and started her journey as a volunteer at an assisted living facility when she was just 15 years old. She then went on to receive her certificate as a certified nursing assistant when she was 18 and worked at a skilled nursing facility in Loma Linda, CA.  From there, Haley went on to college and graduated as an RN locally in Bullhead City, AZ.  She then worked at the local hospital for almost 6 years, working on the medical/telemetry floor and moving her way up to become the night house supervisor.  Haley has also received her bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University.  She has spent all of her years working bedside with patients and working as a team. Her patients and residents are her biggest priority. She has been blessed with the gift of nursing and caring for so many and strives for excellence each day.

Rowena Becker

QA Nurse

Rowena Becker is the QA Nurse at The Legacy Rehab.  She started her journey in long term care when she was 19 by becoming a CNA.  She loved the hands-on care that she provided for 14 years and knew this was the field that she wanted to be in.  Rowena had helped care for her grandmother when she was young and that influence led her to her career in nursing. After becoming an LVN in California, she soon moved to Bullhead City, AZ where she began her career at the Legacy Rehab & Care Center.  She worked as a floor nurse and then seized the opportunity to grow within the company as an MDS Nurse, QA Nurse and then Administrative Nurse  The Legacy Rehab has become like a  second home and she loves the people she works with as well as our residents and families. When she’s not at work, she enjoys anything as long as it involves making memories with her family.  They enjoy camping, weekly family dinners, and quality time together.  Long term care continues to be her passion and she looks forward to continually making a difference in peoples lives.

Erika Johnson

Activities Director

Erika Johnson is the Activity Director at The Legacy Rehab & Care Center.   She has resided in Bullhead City for fourteen years and has been a part of The Legacy team since 2014.  Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, doing arts & crafts and going to the movies. In her spare time, Destiny enjoys spending time with her family, camping, traveling and off-roading.

Admissions Coordinator

Shannon Rahm is the Admissions Coordinator at The Legacy Rehab. She started out in the helping hand program before becoming a CNA.  She now helps facilitate the admission of the residents at The Legacy Rehab.  Shannon spends time with her 4 kids and husband in her spare time and they really enjoy their outdoor activities. Kurt Zetsch

Kurt became a chef in 1995 because cooking has always been his passion.  He started working in health care facilities in 2008 and began training other chefs in 2010.  He was responsible for training over 30 chefs during that time.  Having residents at the care center tell him how much they enjoyed the meals is truly rewarding for him.  Cooking from scratch gives the residents a great meal with lots of flavors.

Steve Salles

MDS Coordinator

Like so many, I’m another Southern California transplant. I now live in Bullhead City. The spectacular mountain views, lack of pollution, and traffic all contribute to my love of this place. I originally came here after my grandmother suffered a stroke. I was her caregiver until her death. It was a challenge, given the stroke and comorbidities, but the experience led me to the field of health care, which I had never considered before. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant, then a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and finally a Registered Nurse (RN). The experience has given me a broad, if not unique view of nursing and the provision of care. My commitment to education exemplifies my devotion to providing the best for those in my care. Working in MDS/Infection Prevention allows me to utilize critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to affect a greater number of people. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys learning new things, so I do that in my off time as well as at work. Although I also enjoy doing nothing during my off time, I also enjoy the outdoors, perhaps as a counter to the busyness I experience at work.
